The dopamine of building
Leading product in enterprise is different. For PMs, AI made building feel incredible again. Ship a prototype, watch it work, get a Slack “nice work.” That dopamine is real, and it’s easy to mistake for progress.
A prototype isn’t the point. The decision behind it is. Build to kill an option. Build to turn a thin-data bet into a call you can defend. The same afternoon of work is either a dopamine hit or a decision instrument, and the only difference is the question you brought to it.
So don’t stop building. Everyone can build now. Before you open the tool, name the call it’s meant to make. Build for the call, not the hit.
