The curiosity advantage
Leading product in enterprise is different. The PMs pulling ahead right now share a trait: they're relentlessly curious, and AI just removed the friction from curiosity. Want to understand how a recommendation engine works? Don't read about it. Build one. Want to know how the pricing team models elasticity? Open a new folder and prototype it yourself.
Before AI, understanding something outside your domain required finding the right person, getting on their calendar, and hoping they could explain it well. Now you can build a rough version, kick the tires, see where it breaks. You show up to the conversation with context instead of questions. You learn the tradeoffs firsthand. Not abstractly, but because you hit them.
The generalist PM was always valuable in enterprise. Now they're unstoppable. The cost of learning just dropped to almost zero.
