High adoption is not transformation
Leading product in enterprise is different. 92.6% of developers now use an AI coding assistant at least monthly. Adoption is nearly universal. Transformation is not. An MIT study of 152 organizations found the industry in a state of high adoption but low transformation. Everyone has the tools. The opportunity is in what you do with them.
Enterprise leaders have seen this before. The organizations that stalled on cloud transformations stalled on agile transformations. Now they're stalling on AI for the exact same reasons. Not technical barriers. Organizational ones. The organizations pulling ahead share three things: clear goals tied to AI investment. Developer experience at the center: faster onboarding, increased testing, fast CI, reduced environment friction, shared tooling and prompts. These same foundations make AI agents productive too.
Buying licenses isn't transformation. Changing how people work is.
