Leading product in enterprise is different. The stakeholder you're avoiding is the one you need to align. The update you're softening is the one that needs to be direct. The scope you're protecting is the scope that needs to be cut. The conversation you've postponed three times is the conversation that would unlock everything.
Fear is navigation. It points directly at the thing that matters most. Whatever you're afraid to say in the meeting is probably what the meeting needs to hear. Whatever decision you're delaying because it's uncomfortable is probably the decision that would create momentum.
The hard conversation is almost always the right conversation. What's on the other side is usually the clarity everyone was waiting for.
