Being a product manager in an enterprise context is different. Strategy should always come first. But complaining that stakeholders are too feature-focused gets you nowhere - instead, connect the dots into strategy using language they already speak.

Be proactive. Instead of asking "What's our strategy here?" ask "What business problem are we solving?" Instead of presenting features, present solutions to challenges they've already flagged in leadership meetings.

The best enterprise PMs I know never need to use the word "strategy" in stakeholder conversations. They speak in revenue impact, cost reduction, and competitive differentiation - then let stakeholders connect those dots themselves.
